M'sian Praised For Providing Free Baju Raya to Those in Need
As we enter the third week of Ramadan, many of us have begun preparing for Raya. But, considering the economy these days, many of us may not have the privilege to have all-new supplies for Raya.
With that in mind, one Malaysian man has taken it upon himself to provide free baju raya for those in need.
The heartwarming initiative at the Yayasan Johor Ramadan bazaar has since attracted a significant crowd, particularly senior citizens.
In a TikTok video, a number of them could be seen carefully selecting their outfits from the racks of clothes labelled ‘Free Market’.

Other than Baju Melayu, this initiative also offers other traditional clothing like jubahs in a variety of colours and sizes.
Netizens were quick to praise the initiative in the comments section. Not only that, but many others voiced their wish for more free markets like this to help everyone in need.
On the other hand, some TikTok users took the opportunity to advise those who wanted to donate their clothes to ensure that they are still wearable.
“To those who want to donate, please re-check the clothes. Don't donate worn or torn clothing. Have pity on those who will receive your donation, they also would want to wear something that still looks pretty.”

“Hope that those who can afford it don't take it. Prioritise those who truly need it," said a user.
