Bowler Tun Hakim Makes History After Becoming First M’sian to Win a Title on the PBA Tour
National bowler Tun Ameerul Luqman Al-Hakim Tun Hasnul Azam recently made history as the first Malaysian to win a title at the Professional Bowlers' Association (PBA) Tour in the United States on Tuesday.
Tun Hakim was named the PBA Chameleon champion after defeating American bowler Kevin McCune 269-227 in the final at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada.

In a short video posted on the PBA Facebook page, the 25-year-old described his historic win as incredible. "It feels amazing to be a PBA Tour champion, my first title. To everyone back home, this is for you Malaysia, and I love you so much. Thank you," he said.
Earlier, he dominated the lane in the elimination rounds, securing his position as the top seed for the stepladder finals.
Tun Hakim overcame the challenge of American Boog Krol with scores of 237-226, 216-247, 268-267, and 279-187, and continued his impressive momentum by outplaying Swedish bowler and 12-time Tour winner Jesper Svensson with scores of 245-214, 245-228, and 254-215.
The victory earned him US$20,000 (approximately RM88,618) and a trophy.
